The fight for Knuckles and Zeus, Part II

The challenge in the Supreme Court of Victoria to save Knuckles and Zeus from euthanasia a few weeks ago by the City of Greater Geelong concluded today with the lives of both dogs spared. But for the Court challenge, these two dogs would have been killed. However there are further legal steps to be taken, including proceedings in VCAT as to whether or not they are restricted breed dogs. The tenor of the Court challenge changed once the owners of the dogs were found, bringing the Court challenge to a close. The Panel thanks Panel counsel Anthony Schlicht and Sara Hinchey for their appearances and endeavour; Michael Faltermaier as instructing solicitor; and For Dogs Sake as applicant. The case turned principally on technical legal arguments.
